5. She's got my vote!

She is just what Texas Democrats need, a good candidate on the ticket. With her at the top of the state ballot, it will help all the way down the line for other Dem candidates. Maybe we'll get a Castro twin in, now that would be the greatest!

Turning Texas blue is going to take a lot of votes, the major cities (Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso) plus the Valley are Democratic. The suburbs surrounding the cities are Rep. Then Texas has so damn many rural counties and they are all repub. Plus Texas always has low voter turn out.

The untouched treasure for Democrats are the Hispanics who vote in low numbers in Texas. That is where the GOTV should be directed and with a good batch of candidates, the job will be easier.
