67. "It was a joke" - typical bully response

"You're humor-impaired. Can't you take a joke?" - Rushbo said that. Many bullies and abusive types do.

They don't want to admit that the hateful, incendiary, vile crap that came out of their mouths was in fact INTENDED to insult and hurt others. It makes the bully look bad. Because, well, he is. Make no mistake: it was INTENTIONAL and meant to hurt. But they don't want to admit that so, they LIE. "It was a joke", they insist.

THEN to add injury to insult, they BLAME THE VICTIM of their verbal assault for the assault -- based on the lie they told about it -- by telling the victim(s): "you just don't have any sense of humor" or "you're humor-impaired" or "you can't take a joke!"

That way, the bully doesn't have to take any responsibility for his/her own behavior - for the crap that came out of the bully's own mouth. That way, they can make someone ELSE responsible for it.

It's how they operate. I know from experience.
