that serves to depress Republican voter turnout is a good thing.

Furthermore "Teamanderville" is not immune to strengthening or weakening, being upset with the Republican Congress to the widest margin ever implies that perhaps "Teamanderville" have moderated or are moderating in their views in regards to the shutdown as well, particulary as the consequences become more apparent.
