(116,022 posts)Our local public school which is paid for with our taxes via the gvt has no tuition. Basic economics. And how will having the ability to get health care give us less access? And how the fuck does restricting access help anyone, that restricting is what you are seeming to want. If there are not enough providers, how about paying them decent enough and not having medicine, sorry, healthcare, as business but instead health care as health care? You don't increase access by making it unaffordable.
"I know everyone here says they're happy with the cookie they've gotten from the ACA"? Wtf? No, "everyone here" is not happy, and most of us feel the ACA does not go far enough. Yes, most of us are glad to be able to get more affordable health care, but "happy with the cookie"?
