comes in clearly 98% of the time and since there aren't any thunderstorms or blizzards to interrupt the signal to/from the repeater, I don't think that was it. It usually happens when Obama is making a speech that they don't want anyone to hear. On the system they use, you can actually hear them flicking the sending device on and off if you listen carefully...

Not a conspiracy for them, it's common practice. Lived here for decades and they do this when unpleasant news is being broadcast from beyond their station base, sometimes they just cut in to an ongoing story and start talking about some church event or something. Pretty annoying for those of us who aren't part of the organization. That's why I have to pay for Internet access, otherwise I wouldn't have any way to know what's going on anywhere but in eastern Idaho/western Wyoming and church news.
