199. Sometimes homeschooling is the better alternative

I was homeschooled for four years in high school. School was basically becoming a toxic environment for me and making my mental health issues worse. I've always been a self learner in many subjects (I understand a lot just from reading something, typically) and I feel my parents were qualified enough. Both of my parents had a college degree, my mother also went to graduate school and worked as a substitue teacher for a couple of years. My father, who had to teach me the math (since neither I nor my mother are naturally good at that subject!) had I believe some kind of math degree (I'd have to ask him, but he was a volunteer math tutor at one point and his job involves a confusing mess of numbers that I will never understand!). So I absolutely believe they were qualified to teach me and my mental health problems were a lot better once I was at home in a better environment. I was accepted at college, completed a 2 year degree then decided to stop. So I don't think it harmed me any.
