In general, Cubans differ from other Latinos in that they have always been given special treatment. If they leave Cuba and set foot on American soil, they won't be deported.
Here in South FL, the Cuban community has historically voted Republican because of GOP "hatred of communism." They couldn't care less about the issue of immigration.
