(89,898 posts)Golden Rule-type stuff. So full of judgmentalism and resentment that they don't stop to think - what if it's THEM someday?
I have been very saddened and discouraged - every time something like this happens, and you get some "gummnt-hating" dumbasses, like after Hurricane Katrina, who suddenly seemed to wake up and realize - "D'OH!!! Uh, er, um, gee, uh, well, er, (cough!), ummm... well, I guess government actually IS important and necessary and good to have..."
And then, you had more short-sighted, reagan-swallowing dim bulbs piping up after Hurricane Sandy. What happened? DID THEY NOT LEARN FROM HURRICANE KATRINA?????
And every time there's a really horrible tornado in the Midwest somewhere, there are more short-sighted, reagan-swallowing dumbasses who suddenly are rudely awakened about how necessary and important it is to have a functioning federal government. And that makes me wonder DID THEY NOT LEARN FROM HURRICANE KATRINA AND HURRICANE SANDY???? What the fuck is with these idiots? After all, cataclysms this grave usually cross state lines, so it HAS to be the feds. And cataclysms like this are routinely WAY beyond anything a single state can handle, especially if it's hobbled by republi-CONthink.
And it's not just weather-related cataclysms, either. It's just so MADDENING!!!!! Suddenly these dingdongs are abruptly awakened and forced to smell the coffee and they come around - for about 19 or 20 minutes. And then they slide back into their own idiocy since their collective memories are about the length of the average gnat. It's as though they're so stupid they have to be hit across the face with a series of 2x4s before they get it, and we haven't yet reached the point where they've been smacked around enough that they even DO get it. I guarantee you, most of these ranchers who are whining and yowling about the unfairness of it all and "where's the government now that I need it?" - can be counted on to forget whatever eye-opening civics lesson this miserable episode may have momentarily taught them. It's SO damn discouraging!!!!
