197. I think the point in all those New Testament stories quoting Jesus Christ -

- was that talk is cheap. You can SAY you believe in and follow Jesus Christ. But turning your back on those He regarded as the most important (the poor, the destitute, the homeless, the sick, the abandoned) speaks a lot louder than your hollow words.

Heck, even Paul-the-Hardass conceded as much in 1 Corinthians. Yes, he who also thundered to people about how they can't eat if they don't work - ALSO said if you talk the talk but don't walk the walk, you're no better than a noisy gong and a clanging cymbal.
