why it is always the woman's fault. The underlying message is that men are just out of control babies and it is up to the woman to keep things right. While I think having an affair with a married man is wrong, it's REALLY wrong to have an affair while married. I had this argument with my mother when my father, quite out of character, had an affair. She always blamed the woman (who was also married). Like my father was just powerless, which he was not.
