Against my own instincts, against my own knowledge, against everything I know to be right and wrong, I descended to their level. I feel very badly about that."

SO - the words that came out of Limbaugh's mouth are somehow the fault of "the left"? ReallY?!

"The Left" didn't utter those words. RUSH LIMBAUGH did and only Rush Limbaugh is responsible for them. Not "the left". And not anyone else.
