(2,980 posts)Some people are in a better position to make the "right" choices than others. And some (most?) women, after giving birth to three children, will not be able to achieve abs that flat without surgery (no matter how much they work out), so genetics also plays a role. (And it looks like she was lucky to have been spared obvious stretch marks...)
I would also say that to me, what she has accomplished (8 months after giving birth) is a bit beyond "fit." She looks like a model..... and her level of beauty and body sculpting is beyond the reach of most mortal women (no matter how hard they might try). Her looks are obviously a big focus for her... a source of pride... a high priority. Other people have other priorities... other time commitments... other resources. (And other genes to work with.) The proud sharing of what she has accomplished is fine. It's the "What's your excuse?" that seems grating to me.
But, I have such a deep-seated aversion to what seems (IMHO) to be a "holier than thou" approach that maybe I am not the right person to assess its efficacy. I was raised by a mother who heavily relied on that approach
and I have always had to fight the strong impulse to do the exact opposite of whatever she is espousing. (My mother is not at all fit, though, so at least she didnt turn me off to fitness!)
