No mention is made of the entrance wound. I have shot many high speed rifle rounds at many different types of targets, they can do many strange things. The fact that beveling is one of those things it is the only obvious explanation that would give the ER doctor a patient that they could work on for 19 minutes with a hope of possibly keeping him alive.
