This, as well as massive corruption, was the reason for the 17th amendment in the first place.

Republicans also want to change presidential elector selection to reflect voting BY GERRYMANDERED Congressional districts.

And they want to selectively change the big swing states that have been voting Democratic in presidential elections (like Pennsylvania, which has been voting Democratic in presidential elections, and overall for House seats, but which has overwhelming Republican dominance in the House because of gerrymandered districts), to a system where presidential electors are apportioned by Congressional District rather than winner take all popular vote (while retaining winner take all in reliably red states).



The bottom line is that you are correct. The GOP knows it cannot win without corrupting the democratic process, so that's what they are dedoicated to doing.

They are un-American crooks hich must be labeled as such, shamed, and marginalized.
