I'll praise and celebrate some Georgia artists you somehow forgot about, who are not bigoted.
How's Michael Stipe in your view? He's the singer from REM, a Georgia band that is one of my favorites. Heard of him? He sure is not on your list...

From the 1900's I'd mention Monroe 'Pink' Morton who built the Morton Theater in Athens Georgia and in doing so opened Athens to the world and kick stared one of America's great arts scenes.
I will not praise some homophobic hack 'cause he came from Georgia. Plenty of good genius is Georgia to celebrate. B-52's. First time I heard them the song was on a cassette they sent to a radio station in LA. I listened to the song for about 6 hours in a row. Kate, Fred, Cindy, Ricky and Keith all have my fanboy love and crazy admiration.
