Democrats and liberals/progressives-whatever win national elections for the Democratic Party but are woefully absent in off-year elections. Ergo: the republican candidates win - sometimes in a squeaker BUT THEY WIN. Believe me the Tea Party is organized - especially in the churches. The Sunday before election day the clergy speak fire and brimstone against those 'evil' democrats. The congregation marches home and write "remember to vote on Tuesday" on their calendars - and they do! Result: Rick Snyder, Rick Scott, Rick Perry and all the other (P)Ricks. We need Howard Dean's 50-state strategy back. Especially in 2014.
