3. He should have watched Rachel too

She opened her show with a very nice segment about Cal Thomas, who had said insulting things about her. Thomas knew he'd crossed the line, and issued a genuine apology, and went on to take Maddow out to lunch, where he was very pleasant to her. She couldn't say enough nice things about his sincerity, and how easy it is to forgive someone who is genuinely contrite.

Then she contrasted that with Limbaugh, who not only re-stated his lies IN his apology, but spent the Monday program explaining that he's not really sorry at all.

The timing couldn't have been better, as Cal Thomas had taken her to lunch just hours earlier.
