(40,689 posts)35. I remember in HS gym class,
our PE teacher telling us to protect our breasts from blows, squashing, & basic trauma. Now you are supposed to put your breast between two metal plates that squash it & radiate it & afterwards, say, "Oh, I'm glad I've taken a pro-active step in my health."
I left a doctor who chastised me, every year, for not getting a mammogram, while I had another health issue she never addressed, my weight. When I finally got a thermogram, she was interested in the results, because she had never seen thermogram results before(!), but she mocked me & said I had wasted my money. I never went back to her.
