In reply to the discussion: "mamming" fad - women put their breasts on things [View all]After dropping Dr. AMA, I went to Planned Parenthood, where they were happy to hear I was doing something proactive about my breast health. They gave me a list of other options, (MRIs, sonograms, etc) & the positive & negative aspects of each option. How scientific & logic based.
I think you can ask to have your records transferred. Do you have a PP in your area? It is a wonderful organization. You don't always get the same physician/practitioner, so if you have specific needs, PP may not be for you, but if you have general health needs, they are great.
* And I may be wrong about specific health needs. I haven't needed that, so I don't really know what PP can do for people i those situations."
