2. UPDATE: Danvers teacher killed, 14-year-old student charged with murder

Danvers — A teenager is accused in the death of a female teacher whose body was found behind Danvers High School overnight.

The body of Colleen Ritzer, 24, was found in the woods behind the school, Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said. Ritzer, of Andover, taught math at the school.

A 14-year-old boy, who was reported missing Tuesday night, is accused of killing the teacher at the high school. He will be charged arrainged in Salem juvenile court today and charged with first degree murder, according to the DA.

Ritzer's body was found after she was reported missing and blood was discovered in a second-floor bathroom of the school at about 11:20 last night.

Subsequently body was found in the woods behind Danvers High School.
