39. Not all labor has the same value.

Consider two blacksmiths. Both work hard and put in eight hours of work. Both use up the same amount of material. Blacksmith "A" produces 40 excellent horseshoes. Blacksmith B is a poor smith and ruins all of his horseshoe attempts and produces nothing but scrap steel. Both put in the same amount of labor. Would you claim that their labor had equal value?
