(26,314 posts)on anything we let the TeaPubliKlans of the hook for. It is as sure as day following night and if we are weak, weasely, corrupt, or just misguided or stupid enough to emulate them then we will get the full measure of blame, including what they had coming but never got.
This NSA tomfoolery and the "Fast an Furious" crap are especially stupid because we totally know better but insisted on following the bastards off the cliff.
If you wanted something more fair then the time was about twenty years ago but then the fellow travelers of those crying the loudest now we're either swallowing their tongues or outright cheering deregulation and corporate concentration of ownership and the same crew that flogged, pushed, pulled the party to the corporate right making it probable that we have amoral, stupid, and shortsighted Democrats who will always walk into the traps.
I don't get what other reasonably plausible outcomes there are supposed to be.
Want better outcomes? Stop covering for the opposition and stridently oppose their agenda and we will find waters much more difficult to muddy, the last 15 years or so have been especially dangerous because so much time and effort has been spent trying to blur the differences in critical positions to supposedly appeal to "independents" and often we find ourselves in perception traps substantially of our own creation with too many voters and the media can throw an anchor around or necks anytime.
