The scourge of Calvinism is the true evil in American history, politics, and self image. Our national icons for "religious freedom" were and still are the least tolerant among us. Those who think they are God's Chosen, those they see their wealth gained by exploiting everyone else is really a sign from God confirming superior position.

Those New England merchants ran the slave trade, the awful ships, the cane plantations, the distilleries, insurance, banks, shipyards -- the whole mess. The slave trade was centered around Newport, RI. Over 95% of the slaves they brought to the America's went to South and Central American, often to plantations owned by the same families whose wealth allowed them to rewrite history.

Christians should stay out of the Old Testent unless accompanied by a rabbi with all the other books.
