Brainwashing lets them off the hook too easily. It doesn't take much intellect or empathy at all to do anything other than laugh or gag at the stuff Fox promotes; yet some people are just wrapping themselves in this stinky fishwrap of falsehoods.
I hear age being blamed; that is bullshit too. i have seen plenty of less than old people parading these reprehensible nasty beliefs around. i see this crap from former friends, acquantainces, local business owners and family members of all ages.
Might not be teribly fair of me, but when I deal with someone who has so let themselves go off their rocker over make believe hate that they can't be reasoned with, I cut them out of my life, if they continue to discuss this crap in my presence. These are not the people whose minds can be changed, as they are deliberately holding these beliefs tightly in the face of all evidence ro the contrary. When they want to knock off this nonsenseical thinking, they will turn off Fox and start living in the real world again. Until then, buh-bye. They are the minority now.
I have been shocked to learn just who in my life or circles have willingly jumped into this mental cesspool. Their choice, 100%, no one is forced to turn on Fox. I see it turned on in plenty of businesses but I no more pay attention to it than I do to the equally false world of wrestling programs. Anyone who happily allows themselves to make others miserable and themselves angry and agitated over demonstably false "news" or beliefs needs to be ostracized by normal people until they make a different choice.
