9. It truly is unbelievable that we are still fighting this isn't it?

I never imagined in my younger days that we would not be able to get this done once and for all. Then came the backlash and it has been a fight ever since. Our whole lives it seems have been about having to constantly be aware and fighting for our rights to be seen simply as human beings first and foremost.

No wonder we are all so tired. I feel like I am walking around in steel some days, Kansas has become an alien nation and it was bad enough before Brownback. The constant barrage is wearing but we are strong. The younger women don't always get it, how on earth they can feel so confident that they will not catch the brunt of this I will never understand. It is not as if we have not been warning them.

Hang tough. We have both of these fights in common. Neither will most likely be finished when we finally are but we can leave this place knowing we did what we could.
