However, Rush kept pounding away at Sandra Fluke non-stop for 3 or 4 days. At 3 hours a day, that is 9-12 hours. And, since many other talk show hosts take their lead from Rush, you can raise the number of attacks on her exponentially. Though, I don't know of others who called her a slut & a prostitute and demanded that she post sex tapes online, just the fact that she was a target of so many attacks has to be intimidating for a college student.

Maher's line was that - one line about a public figure. Maher's show is on the air for one hour a week. Rush's show is on the air almost as much in one week as Maher's is on the entire year.
