(6,960 posts)We've had maybe 20-25 kids.
Weather is very, very nice.
I don't know what is up this year; maybe because it is a school night?
I've been thinking all day though about how Halloween has changed. It used to be a holiday for KIDS.
Back in the 50s, 60s and 70s, maybe even into the 1980s, it was still a rather rare thing to see adults dressed-up for Halloween -- the focus was on what the kids were doing at school and in the evening.
But these days Halloween has pretty much been appropriated by adults.
I wonder if the main highlight of Halloween even twenty years ago -- that is 'Trick or Treat' -- is now something that today's overprotective parents shun and that going to costume contest parties for their kids and themselves is what it is mostly all about now.
