(13,324 posts)81. I suppose with consistent use of reliable birth control, you can make it at least 99+% unnecessary.
But that number will never be 100%, because no contraceptive method is literally 100% effective. So like it or not, there will always be some level of need for abortion. Whether or not that need is recognized by the law.
