Whatever happened to the importance of preventing unwanted pregnancies? There is absolutely nothing wrong with educating and providing women with the tools if necessary to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. That doesn't mean abortion should be restricted or not readily available, it means let's do our best to close the barn door BEFORE the horse runs away. If that could not be done for whatever reason, then there is an alternative. Having an abortion is not for most, as someone said above, like getting your tonsils out. I would prefer that women didn't have to make that decision at all because it's a difficult one, no matter how much they didn't want to have a baby at that time, and it's something they are going to have to live with for the remainder. It's not a casual decision and trying to sell it as such looks very disingenuous. Many women will not regret their decision later in life but that doesn't mean they didn't have feelings about it. Then you've got those that do regret their decision, but I still believe it should be available.
