Whoa! via @Dsquared75 & @jlock, it appears a transcription error in Loudoun is currently shortchanging Herring (D) by ~600 votes.

@ForecasterEnten Only that this won't be settled before midnight, but I'd still rather be Herring than Obenshain.

AP has Obenshain (R) lead over Herring (D) down to 778 out of nearly 2.2 million votes. This probably won't be settled tonight.

Fairfax County reporting an additional 7,732 absentees for Herring (D), 4,547 for Obenshain (R) beyond what is reported by state SBE.

Also outstanding: Roanoke City's absentees, and likely more absentees from Richmond City. All which ought to help Herring (D).

Herring (D) down 7,061 votes, but still out: absentees in Fairfax, Norfolk, Hampton, Newport News, PWC. Would rather be Herring.

Arlington County absentees: Herring (D) 5,885 Obenshain 1,338. This thing's looking pretty good for Herring right now.

@Redistrict Fairfax County Website has Herring with a larger margin than SBE (+5206) More Absentee's http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/elections/webreports/resu1113.pdf

The AP pegs Obenshain (R) lead at just 1,357 votes. If that's right, Herring (D) quite likely to overtake Obenshain with remainders.

thanks -- I posted several times tonight that I wondered about the absentee/early votes.

Yeah, in his tweets he mentions several transcription errors. Why so many errors?
