(35,176 posts)I learned on an Apple 2GS. Moved away to PC for my laptops. Went back to Apple because my entire family were fanbois and constantly hassled me. I bought a laptop that burned my legs (oh yes it is not a LAP top it is a DESK or TABLE top) then burned itself out. Bought another because Apple did not stand behind the product, even during the first year when I had a burn on my hand from lifting it without letting it cool down first
The second Apple "not laptop" was crap. Internet connection was iffy and all they would say was it was my microwave even though my husband was sitting next to me on his Mac, just like mine, with his net soaring through the pages.
Bought a Samsung Smartphone and love it. Have several other Samsung things that always work and when they don't they get replaced and the CS is outstanding so I bought a Samsung laptop that can sit on my lap, never gets hot and works like a charm. Husband will not replace his Mac's with Mac's after switching to Samsung phones and spending time on my laptop. Even one of my sons has had it with his iPhone and switching as soon as his contract is up.
I love my Samsung laptop enough that the very oddly done Windows 8 does not even bother me. To not have to use iTunes is a joy and I am happy once again with a computer experience.
Those smarmy ads making the PC person look like a nerdy looser were enough to make me never want anything ever to do with them again. Now I don't have to. To be so constantly in need to show off your preference in phone, computer, tablet is just sad. "Oh here, let me get my iPhone (iPad)" I have never heard anyone do that about any other product. It is odd and actually very sad.
