(959 posts)26. The CBS of my youth no longer exists...
through corporate take overs and management changes, it is now a shell, hollow and untrustworthy. The intertwining of business with the delivery of news has been a catastrophy....Cronkite and Severeid must be spinning in their graves. I can no longer bear to watch it in any of its forms, morning, evening, or 60 Minutes. The ghosts of Ed Bradley, Don Hewitt, Ed Murrow, and all the greats who made CBS the go-to outlet for so long, have to be crying. CNN is even worse. And the common thread between all this? The acquisition of major personnel from FOX News. Fox News is destroying this country.
