4. Will they bombard me with phone calls and snail mail if I give to them once?

That's one of my biggest problems with large charities. Yes, I want to help in major disasters. But the rest of the year, I contribute widely to other specific causes, and don't want to field constant requests for more donations from yet another organization.

My only problem with Doctors Without Borders is this. I probably donated via the Internet initially, several years ago. So obviously I know about them; I'd have to be a hermit to not know about the current disaster; and the internet hasn't been shut down, last I checked. Why do they keep sending me mail? (Ok maybe there is a place to opt out and I missed it. Still. Come on.) Otherwise I think they are a great org and I will probably donate again. Through the internet, not by responding to their mail, which has slowed down but still comes too often.
