Though I easily could; it's obvious that while posters like yourself are free to post whatever you like -- in the Pope's favor, of course, and no matter how trivial or downright misleading -- threads critical of his stand on the issues, regardless of the legitimacy of the citations or the research, get locked as "Off Topic". The truth is, Pope Francis is opposed to abortion, birth control, gay marriage, gay adoption, the ordination of women, and feminism. These issues are critically important to me as a woman, a gay woman and a progressive. To see the flag of a misogynist homophobe waved in my face every day, several times a day is something I find personally insulting and hurtful. But the message here on DU is clear -- take it and like it or we'll shut you up.
