(10,237 posts)I only hace one VERY minor point of disagrement.
The teabagger movement may not officially be there with a white president, but the same hate filled energy would find an outletfor 2 reasons. First, the koch brothers and their peers and minions will always be able to herd their "useful idiots" anytime and anyplace they want them. Secondly, the teabagger movement consists primarily, of the mcsame/palin(comparison) rallygoers. If not for teabaggerism, they'd still be gathering somewhere, possibly more secretive and certainly without as much of the fawning media's idiotic attention.
Unfortunately, racists will always be there. You are spot on when you said that a black POTUS brought them out. A result of President Obama's election that was certainly unforeseen by me, is that to many, open expressions of racism became socially acceptable again. YUCK!
Thanks for your response.
PEACE!
