Chasewych Dr has a duplex there for $800 per month. Now check out Night Star dr. That's $600 per month. Just a $200 difference. Which one would you rather live? Where would you rather raise your children? I've lived on Night Star for 3 years now. We've had stabbings. I've had to call the cops twice for violent crime. People coast down the road at 3 in the AM blasting music out of their cars at full volume. I don't want my kids to have to live here. But I can't afford to move elsewhere. But people like me don't matter, do we? "You'll take what we give you, and like it." Do you know what I see when I see posts like yours? A reason to stay home on election day. You have your view of the world. Things that you want for the world. And anyone that get flattened on the way there is either doing something wrong, lying, or doesn't matter.
A subsidy is nice. If you qualify for one. But just because you don't qualify, doesn't mean you can necessarily afford what the law is mandating. And that dooms families like mine to Night Star. And Chasewych is a dream that will never come through.
