56. I'm not optimistic, either

At one time on the national scene, we had Walter Cronkite, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Howard K. Smith and other great journalists who were committed to journalistic ideals. Now it seems we're hanging on a thread with Bill Moyers at PBS.
