(21,115 posts)If today was a race between Christie and Clinton, exit polls show Christie would not carry his home state. The former secretary of state, senator, and first lady beats Christie, 48 percent to 44 percent.

furthermore...
That slight six point lead that Hillary Clinton holds over Chris Christie, in a state where Christies approval rating hits the floor at 61%, is also greater than the lead shes had over Christie in any of Democratic-leaning (but dead-on accurate) Public Policy Pollings 2016 general election polls. You can call this result early, or a poor indicator, but in the home state where hes just won a landslide reelection, you cant call a six point spread close.
