(21,786 posts)is the fact that a) none of the doctors at Parkland saw the back of Kennedy's head; b) they testified as such to the Warren Commission; c) the autopsy photos and X-rays show that the back of the head is not blown out, therefore any claims that it was are directly contradicted by evidence. Furthermore there is an apparent ignorance on the part of conspiracists as to what "posterior", in an anatomic sense, relating to the skull, actually means; Kennedy's head wound was caused by a bullet traversing his skull and generating a shockwave in brain tissue that blew out the side of his head (while he was slumped forward and not sitting upright). That wound was largely "posterior" in the sense that it was to the rear of the medial lateral line, behind the ear; this does not mean that the back of Kennedy's head was "blown out".
Representations of the head wound from X-rays:

When confronted with X-rays, autopsy photos, and the Zapruder film...all of which agree as to the nature of Kennedy's head wound...contradictory witness testimony has to be discounted, especially coming as it does many years after the fact.
