(180,246 posts)As a lawyer, I was critical of some of the actions of the prosecution in this case. Mistakes were made but I still hoped or thought that the jury had enough to convict Zimmerman. I was very disappointed with the jury verdict but sometimes the defense gets a verdict that it does not deserve. Zimmerman should have been convicted and I have been hopeful that the DOJ would retry this case under the civil rights law.
Zimmerman's latest actions are evidence that he knows that he got by with a crime and so he thinks that he is above the law. That type of stupidity does not work for long in the real world. Look OJ is in prison right now because he thought that he was above the law and was "justified" in attacking the person holding some memorabilia. I would not be surprised to see Zimmerman get the book thrown at him on this charge
