4. I read the books 20+ times when I was a young teen, but I still enjoy the movies as an old fart...

Hobbit pt 1 was Jackson's best effort since LOTR, pt. 1.

I enjoyed it immensely as pure, unadulterated cinema (and not a bad adaptation)...
