(57,751 posts)Just because it's illegal doesn't make it prevalent. More people are enslaved now than at any point in human history, and the sex industry and porn is a major user of slave labor. That slavery is illegal makes enforcement incredibly difficult, yet the practice is widespread. I've said this in many posts and you have completely ignored it. The UN has spoken about this. Virtually every human rights organization in the world has as well. What drives the slavery is consumer demand for products like rape porn, where viewers enjoy watching women terrorized, tortured, and raped. To leave it up to authorities to deal with while continuing to consume or defend the products made with slave labor is not a social responsible position.
