NORTH LIBERTY — Police said a North Liberty man is lucky to be alive after his blood alcohol level tested at nearly six times the legal driving limit.

Dennis Dean McNatt, 56, is charged with drunken driving after being arrested in August.

Police were called to a liquor store by witnesses who said McNatt could hardly walk and was driving. Police found McNatt at his home. He told officers he had consumed a bottle of vodka and a couple of beers before driving to the liquor store.
