(48,223 posts)but then a few of us lefties made a concerted effort to post. Now you see more and more center to left people posting, and the number of right-wing regulars has decreased. Furthermore, when someone posts a left-of-center opinion, it's like to get more favorable votes than negative ones.
However, occasionally, the comments will start out being left-leaning, and then all of a sudden, there will be a barrage of illiterate right-wing posts, many of them using identical or nearly identical language. I suspect that what happens is that some AM radio squawker sees the article, notes the number of left-wing posts, and goes off on a nonsensical rant, while urging his listeners to show the liberals at the Red Star (anyone who thinks the staunchly Establishment Minneapolis paper has ANYTHING in common with the newspaper of the former Soviet military is REALLY ignorant) what "real Americans" think.
