The Apple/PC/Open source wars crack me up [View all]

First I want to say that I don't give a shit what people spend their money on. With that said, I get a kick out of people fighting over a computer type product. I don't get it actually. I always had PCs because it is what I could afford and it did what I wanted it to do. I eventually bought an iPhone and it was pretty cool. I then got me the iPad because I had a lot of apps and the tablet idea was interesting to me. I like it and use it all the time, but I don't expect everyone to have one.

Being in the music business I know a lot of producers and home music enthusiasts that thought that Macs were the only way to get recording done. Most of those people have since changed over to PC because it was cheaper and there were more programs they could use. The guitar player in my band is a Pulitzer prize winning graphic artist that swore by Macs in the day, he now does it all on PCs.

Apple does make a good product, but it should be based on what the user wants to do and what they want to spend their money on.

Open source is great but it is not as user friendly to everyone as Apple or Windows is and that is fine. But why do people get into it with each other over a fucking computer? Do people attack each other for what type of TV they own?

Seriously, who gives a shit? I mean obviously a lot of people do, but it is one of the silliest arguments I have ever seen in my life. Then again I remember a lot of Ford/Chevy knock down drag outs.
