Because I don't come by it naturally.

Because, if someone shot my horse, I would have no problem whatsoever with hunting that person down and sending them to their maker.

I value my horses', and, for that matter, my dog's and cat's, lives more than I do humans who kill for sport.

So I don't own or keep or use weapons, and I'm doing my best to learn to return kindness to offense. I oppose the death penalty, no matter what my emotions scream at me.

Meanwhile, I think I'll go give my horses a hug, and hope that they catch the shooter and prosecute him or her to the fullest extent of the law, which, from my perspective, won't be nearly enough.
