Is the fight against Black Thursday a losing one? I sure hope not. [View all]

As much public outrage as there is about stores that remain open on Thanksgiving, I just worry that there are enough suckers out there allured by "deals" (many of which are not even worth it in the end) to forgo turkey with the family and instead head on over to the nearest Toys R Us.

I just fear the levee has broken on Thanksgiving and there's nothing that can be done about it. PT Barnum at work.

Me personally? I don't plan on setting foot in a single retail store this entire weekend if I can help it. Planning on taking my kids to a state park for some hiking on Friday while everyone else is at the malls.
