Obviously they also want to make a consumerist point; but they could make that in any number of ways - the targeting of the Super Bowl is intended to attack men or the patriarchal order.
I can't speak for whoever wrote this, but if I were to hazard a guess, if presented with a woman who enjoyed the superbowl they'd comment on how she has bought too much into the patriarchal system.
