9. I don't know about 'important'

But most of my 'statement' jewelry has been purchased from local craftspeople in Belize, Costa Rica, etc. etc. Bold chunky handmade necklaces, wood carved bracelets, etc. etc. and so on and so forth.

Other than that - I love sparkly jewelry. Love it. But I tend towards studs, one stone rings, etc. etc. Less is more with high quality metals and stones.
