The last few minutes of the movie you missed something important that McCain said to Palin. He told her how she was the future of the Republican party but to not give into party extremists. I think McCain realized the potential that someone like Sarah Palin had - because she wasn't about 'knowledge' but more about rhetoric. Palin really was a kickback to the days of Reagan where the ability to say catchy phrases to rile up the massives was all you needed to get elected. To me, Reagan got away with it because he surrounded himself with people who could be the brains of his campaign. They tried to do that with Sarah Palin but she recoiled to those people. That's the reason why she will probably never win any major elections.

Woody Harrelson will probably win a bunch of awards for that role. I always see Harrelson as some backwoods hick but he really shined in that movie. You could see how it was harder and harder to show the common courtesy that is extended to those running for President/VP.

The only thing I wish they would have shown in the film was when they dimmed the lights after McCain gave his consession speech. I remember watching that on TV and you could see when he was done Sarah was still going to try and take the Microphone but the lights were dimmed immediately. I think that would have been a more fitting ending to the movie.
